I'm working on marketing, that is....thinking about it, reading about, doing something about it. It's the artist dilema that painting simply isn't enough, you have to work at marketing too. I am making plans for what I want to learn in 2013, what I want to paint and new ways to sell.

I find the interviews long but worth listening too. Get a cup of coffee and take the time. And as for Ghost Ranch, I would love to stay there for a month and just paint!

The Headwaters Art Society will be holding

 a winter Art show and sale

 on Saturday, Nov. 24^th from 11am-3pm

 at the Canal Flats Community Centre. 

There will be 17 artists!

Please feel free to join us and set your own prices. We understand that there must be flexibility for different skill levels, etc. And may the ART force be with you.

Zombie Walk

The locals were very unsure when I proposed a Zombie walk in Canal Flats. Check out the video below. It's just an idea whose time is coming. Zombies. Coming. ..RUN!!

Midnight at the Oasis

This is going to be a great event. I attended the dinner murder mystery a few years ago.  It was terrific fun and the food was wonderful. Hope to see you there.

We held a great art show at the Canal Flats Community Centre as part of the Columbia Basin Culture Tour. We were a bit disappointed by the turnout (40 people on Saturday and 10 on Sunday) but a couple of local realtors were hugely impressed. They recently held an open house and had only one person show up!

We were entertained by the demos of the Arabian Spice Bellydancers and managed to finance sending a butt to Vegas as part of their fundraising, a creative scheme whereby you can sponsor a various bellydancer body part to take the trip.

I am very impressed that such a novice group has now had three shows! We are learning, and most important, we are having fun.
